Regional,
national musicians unite to help tsunami victims.
An
entire day of family fun and entertainment is being planned to benefit
tsunami victims as well as honor our National Guard, military
members and veterans.
KK93
is sponsoring the musical extravaganza to be held on Sunday, March
13, at the Kelly
Inn in Yankton. There is no admission charge,
but a free will offering will be accepted. KK93 radio will also be
running live remotes at the Kelly Inn the day of the
musical festival.
All
proceeds from the event will be sent to Save the Children Organization.

Special
guest stars for the day-long event will be internationally known
Johnny Green and the
Greenmen. For almost four decades, this award
winning variety band has traveled to more than
100 countries and has toured with the Rolling Stones and
the Beatles. A top Vegas attraction, the band
has been featured in concert with Bob Hope and entertained troups
while on tour in Vietnam. Green played on
27 episodes of the original "Batman" TV
series as the Joker's henchman and in 2003, he received a Life Time
Achievement Award from the Rock Country
Hall of Fame.
The
day will begin with a non-denominational church service at 9 a.m.,
following with approximately 14 bands and guest
singers. Ending
the evening will be a giant finale tribute to our current
service members and veterans.
